Convert budget sheets or P&L reports to PDF before sharing with stakeholders. Recipients can read the data without accidentally editing your formulas.
Professional invoices should be sent as PDFs, not editable spreadsheets. Convert your invoice template to a locked, printable PDF every time.
Government portals and accounting software often require PDF uploads. Convert your financial spreadsheet to a compliant PDF in seconds.
Share your data with colleagues or clients who should see but not modify the numbers. PDF is the standard for read-only data distribution.
Excel-to-PDF conversion has a few quirks worth knowing.
Wide columns may overflow the page
Very wide spreadsheets can overflow PDF page margins. Before converting, set a print area in Excel (File → Print Area) to control which columns appear.
Formulas display as values (this is correct)
PDF shows the calculated result of formulas, not the formula itself. This is correct behavior — your recipients see the final numbers, not underlying expressions.
Pro tip: Use XLSX format for best results
CSV files have no formatting data, so their PDF output is plain. For richly formatted spreadsheets with colors and borders, always use the .xlsx format.
