Rotating when you only needed to rotate the viewer
If you just want to view a PDF differently, most PDF viewers have a View > Rotate option that doesn't modify the file. Our tool permanently changes the file — use it when you need the saved file orientation fixed.
Some viewers auto-correct orientation — check on multiple apps
iOS Files and some PDF readers auto-rotate based on EXIF data. Test your rotated PDF in Adobe Reader or Chrome to confirm it displays at the intended orientation across all platforms.
Pro tip: Use 270° instead of -90° for counter-clockwise
A 270° clockwise rotation is mathematically identical to a 90° counter-clockwise rotation. If you want to turn right-edge-up content back to normal, choose 270°.
Upload your PDF, select the rotation angle (90°, 180°, or 270°), and click Rotate. Your rotated PDF will download instantly — no software installation required.
Currently, this tool rotates all pages at once. For rotating only specific pages, use our Organize PDF tool to extract those pages first, rotate them, then merge back.
You can rotate 90° clockwise (quarter turn), 180° (flip upside down), or 270° clockwise (equivalent to 90° counter-clockwise).
The rotation is permanently written into the PDF file metadata. Unlike viewer-only rotation that resets when you reopen the file, our fix is saved permanently.
